Sanitary education is a set of educational and agitation activities aimed at the formation of a healthy lifestyle, the prevention of diseases, the health preservation and promotion, the increase in the working capacity of people, the prolongation of their active life. Sanitary and educational work is aimed at hygienic training and education of the population with a view to its involvement in active participation in health protection. The tasks of health education include:

distribution of medical and hygienic knowledge;

education of sanitary and hygienic skills for the purpose of maintaining and promoting health;

Improvement of sanitary and hygienic culture.
